As a member of the Operations Support Systems/Business Technology Department, the Business Systems Analyst – Business Transformation will work with the Business Systems Analyst – Lead and others on the Business Transformation (BT) team in facilitating cross-functional project teams in an enterprise-wide program focused on identifying and implementing new approaches, business processes and technologies to benefit RHI’s field office operations.
Key responsibilities include: • Analyze business problems associated with identified BT opportunities, and provide conclusions/recommendations with regard to potential solutions, processes and procedures. • Capture and document business requirements from business owners and stakeholders. • Provide technical expertise in identifying and evaluating potential solutions, solution sources/vendors and associated processes and procedures that are cost effective and support overall business needs and objectives. • Support development team during system design, development, and testing. • Ensure and champion standardization of processes and procedures associated with solutions-related documentation (such as business requirements, system enhancement and change requests, features and functionality, process definitions, and so on), project development and management approaches, flows and procedures, and other related Best Practices for the organization. • Build comprehensive models and run simulations/proofs-of concept/pilots to further understand solutions capabilities, and make recommendations based on results. • Promote an environment of continuous process improvement by partnering with other management teams and departments to regularly review processes to ensure alignment with established matrices' and RHI Strategic Goals. • Assist the Business Systems Analyst – Lead in facilitating and managing the regular collection and consolidation of Business Transformation project status information from designated project leads across the BT program, and in providing regular reporting to the program management team. |
| Job Duties/Requirements |
• Review project proposals and designs, and provide feedback on alignment with business requirements and overall BT program objectives. • Exercise independent judgment in methods, techniques, and evaluation criteria for obtaining results on new or special assignments. • Provide guidance to other BSA resources as a subject matter expert and/or project lead. • Chronicle, lead reviews and obtain formal approval from Business Owners, DEV, and QA on extensively detailed functional requirements. • Draw on experience with large scale systems and interaction design principles to optimize application solutions for various departments.
Other Requirements: • Bachelor’s degree required. Master’s degree preferred. • 5+ years of related Business Process Management (BPM) experience, with demonstrated results on process improvement projects. • Understanding of social media and social networking concepts; experience on one or more projects with social media/networking elements highly desirable. • Understanding of Continuous Process Improvement, Performance Management Metrics, Six Sigma, Statistical Process Control, Project Management and Balances Scorecard/Strategy Maps. • Excellent organizational, business management and interpersonal skills, such as: communication, negotiation and motivation. • Ability to manage multiple projects and deliver concise and clear presentations to customer. • Strong MS Word, Excel, Project, Access, Outlook, Visio and SharePoint skills required. • Position is not inherently technical; however, a strong understanding of IT concepts, as well as significant experience in system design and development, is highly desirable.
